General info:

Passiontide begins with I Vespers today. During Passiontide, crosses and statues are covered by violet veils, until Good Friday for crosses and the Paschal Vigil for the statues. (Coverings do not need to be affixed onto murals, nor onto bas-reliefs such as images engraved or carved under altars; the latter are generally obscured by the altar’s violet antipendium anyway.)

Mass of Saturday after 4th Sunday of Lent; no Gloria; commemoration of St. Patrick; no Credo; Preface for Lent; Prayer over the people

Breviary:

Matins: Invitatorium and Hymn in Tempore Quadragesimae as given in the psalter; antiphons and psalms of the feria; 3 lessons proper (homilia in Evangelium diei); no Te Deum
