St. Patrick is the primary patron of the Archdioceses of Boston and New York and of the Dioceses of El Paso, Erie, Fort Worth, Harrisburg, Norwich, and Sacramento. He is also designated as the principal co-patron of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, together with St. Francis. In these places, his feast is celebrated as I class.
