Feast of Christ the King

I class
White

Commemoration of Sts. Simon and Jude, Apostles, in Lauds and in Low Masses.
No commemoration of the XXIII Sunday (because it is also of Our Lord).

Funerals are not permitted.

General info:

Before the Blessed Sacrament exposed, the recitation is made of the Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus: O sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar, etc. (which is not the same as the Act of Reparation used on the Feast of the Sacred Heart), and the Litany of the Sacred Heart is said or sung.  In addition, a procession with the Most Blessed Sacrament is customarily held today. The Blessed Sacrament is processed under a canopy. Additional altars of repose may be used along the procession route, with Benediction given there. The final Benediction is given upon return to the church. If the procession cannot be held outdoors, it may be held around the interior perimeter of the church. If the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in conjunction with the Mass, It is exposed after the completion of the Mass, not after Communion.

“Therefore by Our Apostolic Authority We institute the Feast of the Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ to be observed yearly throughout the whole world on the last Sunday of the month of October — the Sunday, that is, which immediately precedes the Feast of All Saints. We further ordain that the dedication of mankind to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which Our predecessor of saintly memory, Pope Pius X, commanded to be renewed yearly, be made annually on that day.” — Pope Pius XI, Encyclical Quas primas §28, 11 December 1925
